Structure

 

The Americas Amateur National Championship Events begins in January of each year and culminates in the National Championship the following January.

 

During the course of the year, Local Qualifying Events will be held for various dance divisions. The winners from these local competitions will then move on to the Regional Competitions.  Winners from the Regional Events will then move on to the National Championship.

 

The National Championship will take place each year at the Americas' Classic Championships Swing Dance event located in Houston, Texas.

 

LOCAL HOSTING REQUIREMENTS

 

Each member event will hold competition categories determined by the AANCE Tour Board. A minimum of 10 couples must enter said category in order for the event to be officially sanctioned as an Americas Amateur National Championship Events qualifier. 

 

Any event is eligible to become a sanctioned Americas Amateur National Championship Events competition event, provided the event is in good standing with the community. Failure to remain in good standing may be cause for immediate removal from the AANCE Tour. Actions include but are not limited to failure to pay hired staff, failure to pay prizes advertised, failure to hold competitions in an ethical manner, or failure to hold competitions within the RULES set forth by the AANCE Tour Board of Directors.
